My name's Mike, and the more observant amongst you may have noticed that I'm 18. I live in Manchester, and play a fair bit of snooker. Other than that, I'm unsure as to what people at a snooker forum would want to know :P I probably play best at safety shots/tactical play, and adopt a Mark Allen-esque approach to break-building, using the loose reds first. Perhaps not beneficial in the current climate of the game, but it's really how I play best.
One thing I hope people here can help me with though: As I said, I play a lot of snooker at my local non-members social club, which just happens to have a snooker table. Good quality too. The only issue is, there's no team or anything to speak of. And really, I have no reference point on how to get involved in the game properly? Would I have to join a club that has a team and wait for a place, or can i literally just go ahead to tournaments without registering for anything at all? I realise this may be a hard one to explain, but I'm available by PM and email. I really think it's time I got playing properly, at least just to test my talents against people who can play. I don't think I've lost a frame at that club for months!
