  • Returning to Ultimate Game

I hope to be back in the game soon. I played a lot of snooker in my younger years. However, there are very few places to play the game anymore in the U.S. I haven't played the game for almost 20 years; albeit, we played a lot of "golf" on the snooker table in my hometown in the Ozark Mountains. We actually called the game "red ass" instead of golf. The only difference was placing the black on a piece of chalk on the blue spot.

Back in the '80s, I did score my highest run of 129. Where I grew up, the rule was that you could ony shoot the black after pocketing a red. Made the game very interesting.

I've always wanted a full size snooker table, but never had a large enough room. I do now. I just purchased a 6' x 12' last month, and will be installing the table as soon as the game room is ready for it. I got a very good deal on a solid mahogany table that (hopefully) someone can help me identify its maker at a later date.

In the meantime, Happy Holidays and stay safe.

    Welcome to TSF.
Maybe this website can help you find a club so you can beat the regulars once you have practised on your own table

I am sure posting some images of your table someone will be able to identify it for you. You can attach images on TSF once you have 10 posts or you can use a website like Photobucket.
    cheers
    Up the TSF! :snooker:
