hi all, just joined , im alyn from south wales, not really played in few years but my brother-in-law recently got the bug for the game and its got me interested again , main reason i stopped is there not really any local halls round here. also quite concerned now having joined ive bid on a cue on ebay from a shop called snookerama and already seen one post on here saying they are useless, so starting to hope i dont win the auction now, however i did see that jx cues had bad reports and the last cue i had was a jx cue and i probably played my best snooker with that , suppose i just felt confident with it and confidence is very important, anyway if i do lose the auction , any recomendations for a cue around £60 delivered need to pay with paypal though cant really wait to transfer the funds over to bank, my missus will find another way to spend it if i do that, cheers guys, alyn.

welcome to TSF
as you have probably seen "budget" cues do tend to have a "bad" review but you probably will also have seen that a person's like/dislike for any particular cue or make of cue varies greatly and is very personal.
There are several traders of good budget cues on TSF and a quick search on the Cues section will illustrate their usual wears.
You can always ask for help, as others have done, but to be helpful it would be best to indicate your preferences/dislikes and the specifications of the cue you are looking for - if you know them that is
You may want to increase your budget a tad, then your "playing" field will be greater/better
cheers, enjoy the forum - question for you... is your brother-in-law a member or will you keep this "find" a secret and improve your game via the coaching section and start "whooping" his a**e! :snooker:Up the TSF! :snooker:
