  • Confused TSF Newbie needs help....

    Hi Everyone.

I am very confused and was hoping someone could help me out. I registered on TSF a couple of days ago and made a couple of postings - one with info about a John Parris cue I had seen for sale which I though ppl might be interested in, and one requesting help identifying my own cue.

After both postings I was taken to a page which said the posts needed to be approved by a moderator, which seemed odd. I then went and re-checked the forum rules to see if I had done something wrong but it didnt appear to be the case.

I did decide to check my profie to double check the 'strikes' mentioned in the rules, but cant even access that.

It would be really great of someone could explain what might be going on.

    Many Thanks in Advance

I think that if you posted up links to another site, ie to see the Parris cue, it probably thinks you are posting spam, so stops you doing so, until you reach 10 posts, and then are deemed to be a "good guy"

yeah i had the same problem then i realised that yeah you do need to make 10 posts before making your own things or viewing other members account

          Great Response All :-)

Many thanks all - I understand now - better get spamming other ppl's threads... (only joking).

          Cheers, Scar

              Starting a thread

When you are in a forum section before you go into individual threads there should be a yellow button towards the top of the page on the left which is called "+ Post New Thread"

I just pressed this and a window appeared to type into. If the button doesn't do anything it might be worth checking that you havent got scripts or javascript disabled in your browser.

              Good Luck :-)
