Hey gang,
Just joined up to the forum, it looks great btw, fortunately it's the same type and format as another forum I use so I've managed to get on with it pretty much straight away.
So a bit about me, the names James and I've just recently started playing snooker again after a fairly long absence. I used to play every week in my late teens/early twenties but I've had a fair while away from the game (10 years) and am just looking to start playing a bit more regularly again. I won't be joining a team due to my work shifts which would stop me committing really but I play with a neighbour and enjoy the game a lot. Also play a lot of darts at home and at Rileys which I love too.
I was never fantastic but I was certainly a lot better than I am these days although after a few games I did find a bit of form coming back to me. I'd like to look to be playing each week again if I can.
The only cue I ever had was a pool cue that I used to use, I borrowed my mates cue the other day and the difference between the two was so noticeable (he has a BCE Legends cue). I wouldn't say it made me better as such but certainly made me more confident and felt a lot better.
I'm looking at getting a cue of my own, nothing too flashy but the club ones are pretty bad, any recommendations greatly appreciated or if anyone out there has something suitable they are looking to pass on then please feel free to let me know, I'm sure your all far more knowledgeable than me.
Well many thanks for this site, I'm sure it will be an invaluable resource for me.
