Am new to the site and from what I have seen it looks really cool. :0)

Can I ask a question? How many people play snooker in the UK approximately and how many have their own cues?

I play snooker at my local club, not very good at the game though I have cleared the colours once, but have followed the professional game for many years and love it, i use a Jimmy White cue (But don't tell him lol) I also do snooker reports and results at a local radio staition and fully enjoy it as well

so lucky to be able to do snooker results on a local radio station and talk about the sport and it's players I love, also makes a change because all our other sports presenters talk football one of them even got the snooker players names wrong a few years back which to me is bad, I also get listeners to ring in and challenge me with snooker questions who are your favourite players. mine are Alex Higgins (God Bless Him), Jimmy White, Tony Drago and of course the Current World Champion Ronnie

My favourite is Ronnie O'Sullivan. For me he is the best... And your job is lovely. It is super to comment the games in your favourite sport <3

Of course, I like other players very much too, but Ronnie was the man who made me fall in love with snooker...

Impossible to answer this question with any degree of accuracy, but I can have a stab in the dark. I know there are 1500 members of my local club from a population of 150,000 which equates to 600,000 players in England, not the UK. There are more players in the north than the south though, and this is a southern town. My best guess is that 9/10 of regular players have their own cues, although the quality of the cue in question may leave a lot to be desired!
