Just joined as after playing every now and then for the last 15 years and being a big fan of televised snooker I'm trying to play a lot more regularly, pick up my a cue of my own etc

Hi Loader, welcome to the forum. Definitely get your own cue, the more you play with the same cue the more you will get used to it and hopefully improve. Good luck.
