Moving to Hong Kong in August and wondered if anyone on here from Hong Kong could recommend a decent, reasonably priced club?

Also anyone fancy meeting up for a game - fairly decent standard.

Check out General Snooker club - 65 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Ding pop's in every now and then along with Marco when he is in town and they have a pro-am once a year which is actually coming up next month and they also have regular exhibitions usually within a few days of major events on China.

Ivan Snooker - Shop K1, G/F, Tak Bo Garden, 3 Ngau Tau Kok Road, Kowloon.

Stephen Hendry also played there when came to HK.

The best store would definitely be 147 Snooker on 300 Henessey Road, has everything, a new batch of Glover cues just came in and nearly 90 new John Parris cues will be delivered within the month, Deroo cues are also available a few times a year and there are also currently a large number of cues from Will Hunt for sale.

I have not been myself but I have been invited to go along (One day I will make it there)

Hong Kong Snooker Scene

Depending on what times you go, the snooker club can get very very busy and very noisy. Because the rent in hong kong are so high, the tables can be put quite closely together so if the place is full it can get inconvenient. I have never been to general but it seems quite nice but avoid the cheap places in Mongkok.

the pockets on all of the normal tables at ivansnooker are enlarged. they have normal pockets on the competition tables but of course these are more expensive.

I just spoke with Patsy and The General Cup will not be held next month, they have scheduled it for September though
