  • Shy greetings from Switzerland

    Hello everyone!

I'm Matt from Switzerland, almost 29 years of age as I write this introduction, and more of a snooker fan than a player (see highest break ... lol). I've registered here to get some of my questions answered, and of course to maybe find fellow Swiss snooker fans or even players for eventually learning how to pot more than a single red in a break.

I drive busses in the region of Winterthur, a lovely 100'000 inhabitant city with lots of green areas even in the heart of the town. I like singing, playing piano, writing German sci-fi stories, road-cycling (speed and leisure, depends on the weather), and of course Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, Twenty-Four and ... yeah, of course also snooker. My favorite snooker player is Steve Davis and the cutest referee of all time is "Ivy" Ying Zhu. She looks a lot like my first gurlfriend I had who lives in Hongkong.

Feel free to ask anything you like, I'll gladly answer.

    ~ Matt

        Hey Matthias,

i am maybe not a member who should welcome new ones since i am more a silent reader here, but when i read Winterthur, i need to write. Was there last year for the Musikfestwochen for the first time and return there this august again seeing Sigur Ros!

have fun here, lots of nice people around and lots of information!

Oh nice! Winterthur is a lovely spot on the world, that's for sure. Thanks for the welcome, Shohin. And yeah, I already have received a very quick and good reply on a question I had, just over night. That's really great, so I'll keep using this forum.

            Hi Matt, welcome to TSF

Nice introductory post Looks like we have a few things in common, my dad was a bus driver in Liverpool for more than 25 years (although Winterthur sounds a little more picturesque), I also like a good bit of Sci-Fi, mainly reading though, and I enjoy playing the piano as well, not too surprising when you see that I'm a piano tuner by trade. Oh and of course there's the snooker.

BTW, Have you seen this short film about Ying Zhu?

Yes, that movie I saw! She's so cute, and her Chinese accent, she reminds me so much of my former Hongkong gurlfriend.
