It's surprising to see how many Steve Davis fans there still are (including myself!). You would expect a lot of topics about current champions but not from somebody who got his major successes in 1980-1990.
Says enough about the person Steve Davis I think
Would be interesting to see if the ages of this fans has something to do with it; I myself have seen him play in the eighties....

I too saw him play in the 80s, hanterp. I think that's why I'm such a big fan. But I've carried on supporting him through the highs and lows since then. A true Steve Davis fan. I hope you're right, davis_greatest. I wish I had your confidence! Steve has given me so much stress over the years with tight finishes to his matches though. I guess I'm just not as confident that he'll win as I used to be.Originally Posted by davis_greatest

Yes, I am a true Steve Davis fan too
He won the Masters some years ago, so he may have more tricks in the hat!
I think he scores better recently, pottingwise, when you compare it with some years ago, so who knows
