Hey there, I played snooker a lot as a child in Australia/NZ, but then did not play for years with snooker not being played much in the US. I got a table at home, a set of snooker balls, and I'm back in the game. I've joined the forum to try and get some help with the rules because I am having trouble finding some answers in the official rules. I look forward to being part of the forum.

mussa:
Google 'snookerusa' and you will find the US website for snooker. They're quite active and have a regular set of ranking tournaments, mostly in Chicago, Brooklyn and California. They also have various links where you can check out things like local snooker tables. I believe there's a fairly new club in Houston if I'm not mistaken. (Not sure where you are in Texas)

Welcome!
If you're looking for other places to play in Texas and elsewhere in the U.S., please check out
http://www.findsnooker.com/Texas.html
I list some private tables on the site, but only provide a bulletin board user name, city, and state; if you're interested I could add your listing to the site the next time I update the site.
The last time I was in Austin I played at the Warehouse on East Ben White near the highway interchange. I still need to add a post about my experience there (which was good) to this thread I started about tables I've actually visited:

On that same website you can find other Texas snooker players such as "drsnooker" and "mnorwood." Send them a PM to see about playing in Houston or Austin.
