The playing day rate non members are usually people I know personally or are friends of members who are trusted individuals, and usually a member is in the club to keep an eye on things so it's not been an issue yet with any problems

So I know how many are struggling at the moment so I feel for you if your club had to close !! We have based this club on a German, Austrian type snooker club where I work extensively, where it is a private members club and all the members not only are playing buddies but respect the club by tidying away their own rubbish, cleaning up and we also get everyone when finishing the games to brush and block the tables ready for the next people to play. So the tables can be brushed 5-6 times per day !! there is no bar only drinks machines and snack machines but people can bring a beer and use the fridge on site if so desired. We also have no staff to keep costs down. Also because of my line of work the cloths and pockets are always replaced regulaly and kept in perfect condition.
          Speak soon Simon
Sounds ideal ......but hard to get like minded people in London in the same catchment area . Very envious that you have a decent group of people to make your venture worth while .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

excellent idea Simon and an excellent and very modern business model ... I wish you the very best and hope you'll expand so there's a "Green Room" in every town ...

I can see this working ... there's bound to be the occasional "bad apple" who invites his/her mates in and disrespects the tables, toilets or whatever which I guess is why you offer weekly membership ... once you have identified them by CCTV or other members' reports, you simply don't renew their membership so they can't get in ...

But most will really respect their "Green Room" and be proud to be a member ...

Looks like a terrific facility, best of luck, you deserve it!

You don't fancy doing it down south as well by any chance?

I will limit the membership in the case as it gets too busy because nobody wants to pay a membership and then not be able to play which defeats the object !!
We have some really good players down here if you ever need some good practice.
Come down and have a look round if your around.
                Thanks Simon
