Hey to all the lovers of the old and new and growing still ... Game that is snooker!
We here in NZ still play the traditional pot black game and have a few players that would be good enuf to play the more modern game similar to the guns of today who average 80 consistent breaks then walk away from the table.
As most of our good players that are national or domestic remain more social than professional it would be interesting to see where the game goes in the future....
Because most of us due to life circumstances play more social than national pro am marketing of the game seems dependant on international interest generally sponsorship merchandise etc etc the market here revolves around money comps rsa clubs cossie clubs and private run leagues that generate player potential from a winner / gambler perspective.
For us it works because it brings out the games that us MEN like to watch , have a go , and live the dream of winning something that attracts players from all walks of life, without being a professional or having to join up with the ranked players of nz.....
It's a man thing JUST BECAUSE WE LOVE THE GAME.....
