Hi everyone
Just thought I'd introduce myself to the site (which by the way is sensational).
I'm a 42 y/o dad of two who returned to snooker about two years ago when my best mate (a pommie) and I discovered two tables at our local RSL club in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula, about 90 minutes south of Melbourne.
Our first frames took over an hour to complete - neither of us had played for 15+ years - but we were hooked!
We now get down at least once a week and have just organized a monthly social competition...nothing too serious, just a few lads and a few pints.
We're improving all the time (I recently scored my highest break of 45!!!) but still have days where (as my mate puts it) "we couldn't pot a plant". Even on those days, I still love the game...I now just have to convince the missus to kick the kids out of the rumpus room so I can move a table in!!!
Would love to hear from anyone near me who might be interested in joining our social comp.
Cheers.
