    Hi everyone

    I can see i will be on here a fair bit.....I am 49 years old and have recently moved to Perth.Western Australia with my mrs and 7 year old son......I was born in Cardiff and have been playing snooker since i was 12......My favorite players are Ray Reardon(who i met when i was 17) and Stephen Hendry......Ray has been my main inspiration as he was a great player as well as a great sport....I lived in NZ for 22 years.
    Try to play whenever i can and compete in Tournaments....Best result= Beat NZ no 2 by two frames to one a few years back.....I am unranked.

        Hi Craig....I have found one club where i can play for 3 hours for 10 aussie dollars but the tables both here and NZ tend to be very average.A lot of them have the metal braces over the pockets which are annoying when putting your hand on them to cue....locally made tables in nz suffer from bounce outs in the middle pockets when hit hard.
        I played yesterday....Did some solo practise.

              Welcome !! I am in Sydney and play at Bondi Golf Club. 2 nice old tables and free. Enjoy the forum.

              My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
              I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

                That seems pretty cheap to me for 3 hours practice but if conditions are not all that great then I would not be wanting to pay to much but at least it's somewhere you can knock some balls in, my local Riley's where I play charge like £7.00 per hour and the tables are not up to much they need re clothed more often and cushions changed but its never going to happen because that involves spending money which Riley's don't seem to like doing.

                    It is snooker heaven . . . $400 per year for golf membership, but only $10 per year snooker club fee.

                        OK I will. Seems to be loads of English and Irish visitors in Bondi soaking up the sun . . .

                          Here in OZ, I am a member of 5 clubs in my district with snooker tables membership averages $6 per club to play social or practice snooker/billiards free. To play in the local District team competition cost me $25 per year.
                          The only draw back with this system is the club management have the tendency to look at the snooker room as not a money making commodity and as some clubs, especially in the bigger cities have done is remove the tables.
