Big hello from Calgary, Alberta

Hi,

I'm a big snooker fan who also makes iPhone Apps in his spare time. I've played snooker most of my life on and off and looking forward to the upcoming world championships. Would love to make a century break at least once, but really I just play for fun, the social aspect with friends and the odd great shot that goes in from time to time.

There's quite an active snooker scene in Alberta these days with tournaments being held for qualification into the Canadian Championships through the season. I believe they hold a few of them in Red Deer to make the driving distance a little better for the players in both Calgary and Edmonton.

I'll check that out. I've not been in Calgary long (use to live in Ottawa). While I enjoy a game of pool , you can't beat a proper game of snooker :-)
