  • hi all

    Greetings everyone

I used to play snooker at my local temperence hall years ago but have recently got interested again after watching the TV coverage so I recently bought a Peradon Earl cue.

I also last night downloaded VP4 which is brilliant....kept me up untill 2 in the morning !

    Regards

    Mike

      Welcome !! Enjoy the forum.

Have you got a favourite player?
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
      I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Thanks gazza147 and mythman69 for the warm welcome.

I would'nt say I have a favourite player but I like Shaun Murphy...I heard them say on the TV coverage that his cue is
about 50 years old...does anyone know anything about it ?.

It's originally a Tom Newman cue, which has had a new front splice added at some point

Hi neil..I used to play regularly at the Temperence billiard hall in Fulham SW London but that was ages ago
and apart from a few more recent games when at sales conferences with my company at Broadstairs..I'm
not actually playing anywhere at the moment.

Having recently watched a fair bit of snooker on Eurosport I got this uncontrollable urge to get myself a
cue (never had my own cue before) hence the Peradon Earl I mentioned in my first post. The trouble is I now
wear glasses and find it difficult to sight down the cue wthout the frames getting in the way so I may end
up just holding it while watching snooker on the TV...sad or what lol.
