Hi mate I stay in Rosyth and play in the 147 club which is across the road from CJS pool hall
the place is a lot busier now since Rileys shut and they have just got new Aramith balls today.
They also do 3 hours for a tenner and the people that frequent the club are great
as are the owners , see you down there sometime.
Cheers mate - How many tables in the 147? How does membership work?
3 tables mate you just phone club to book table try and do it a day in advance and
say for three hours and you will get the deal. You can quote my name to the staff
as an introduction if you want.

OK cheers - Have you been to the Ambassador in Kdy? 13 tables they have. We played on a recently re-clothed table today, and it was much better than the 1st visit.
I'm kinda in the same boat as yourself, I live in Inverkeithing and Rileys in Dunfermline was my local snooker hall until it closed, but now im going to Styx in Kirkcaldy, which i must say is probably one of the best halls ive played in, the tables seem to be immacculate compared to the ones in Rileys, which you would be lucky to get a table which had cusions that didnt bounce the cue ball.
Ive tried finding the 147club in Rosyth but never found it, lol. Is it behind the chinese takeaway or on the road behind? I do visit CJ's often for pool when im wanting a quick and easy game with the gf but would much prefer to play snooker across the road if its good enough. Currently Styx are offering 3hours for £7 if you play 4-7 weekdays or 11-2 on weekends.
It's good to see that there are people in Fife playing, as when i used to visit Rileys, i'd be surprised if there were others playing.
Finding anywhere seems difficult at the moment - Styx is certainly a decent set-up, so hopefully the fact they also run the nightclub in the same building means they won't shut down anytime soon.
The deals are good if you can manage the times, although the place is pretty dead between 10am and lunchtime, so if I were in charge, I reckon an 'earlybird' deal would be an idea. Even a cheap 1st hour to get people in. At the moment, if I want to practice in the morning, it'll cost me £15 for 3 hours
