  • Im Confused

I grew up with snooker in my home, now have gone 35 years with only american 9 ball and 8 ball around. I just bought a 6x12 and built a room for it and I'm excited. I think between watching snooker matches and reading the rules OVER and OVER again I'm getting the right mindset but a friend has a "snooker" game on his computer that gives him "ball in hand" on certain situations and I don't remember nor do i read anything regarding "ball in hand" except when the cue goes in off or leaves the table and THEN it's only "ball in hand" within the D. Am I correct?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

Ball in hand within the D only, after the fouls you outlined
Ball in hand anywhere on the table is used in the stupid power snooker (or whatever it's called), BUT that is not a normal rule

If you don't mind me asking how much has this setup cost it doesn't sound cheap
