He also got to the World Open and the Crucible as you said. He's a better player than his ranking position suggests an excellent tactical player on his day if only he score a bit heavier like he used to he'd get more results but there's certainly been a few signs of improvement recently. I'm not going to say he's going to reach the heights of his earlier career when he was an extremely consistent player but there's no reason he can't have a good season and push up the rankings the way he's playing.
So do you just play at Q club mate?

Yes mate, I've had a membership in there for a few years now I used to play at a different club in Paisley before that I've not been able to make it along to The Q Club as often as I'd like in recent years but this year I've been able to get along about once or twice week. Where is it you play ?

Heard its a good club. Craigpark Masters and The Q Club are the two best clubs in Scotland apparently where all the Scottish pros play. I've heard John Higgins practices in there.

Not great mate make the odd half decent break of 30-40 but nothing special to improve I need to get playing other opponents on a regular basis I've not got much experience of playing in matches only played a couple of boys in the Club really, I mainly practice on my own but I think I would benefit If I play new people and maybe start playing competitively in some way or another.

Thanks a lot for the link and the other help I was aware of the Live Scoring service and the cuetracker website but I wasn't aware of the live streaming for this game. I'm watching Alan's game at the moment it would appear that he's playing well he could of been 3-0 up but still holds a 2-1 lead, hopefully he can maintain his lead and press on for what would be an excellent victory and a place in the quarter finals.

Great 4-2 victory for Angles today against Ding Junhui its great to see him playing well again it just goes to show that when he is playing anywhere near his old self then he is more than capable of beating the best players. Not saying it will happen as there are no easy matches thesedays especially at this stage but I would say he has an excellent chance of reaching the final now as he's managed to avoid Mark Selby's side of the draw and will now face Yu Delu in the quarter-final for a semi-final match against Joe Perry or Cao Yupeng three players he's more than capable of beating going on his current form.
