  • Hello There

    Afternoon all.

    Just a brief intro really.

I'm a comparative newbie to snooker, having only played seriously for about 5 months, i've managed to put away 23 as a highest break. My dream is to have my own table.

found the forum while looking for tips on technique, seems to be plenty of solid advice here, having had a bit of a browse. hopefully i can apply some and become a better player

    cheers all

Welcome Tim . Loads of advice on here . Find it very helpful still and I've been playing for 25 plus years .

Very good coaches on here plus an ex professional who is now a member on here who gives very good advice as well .

Where do you usually play ? What cue do you use ?
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

      Hi Neil

I'm down in Weymouth, Dorset, play at the local snooker club\sports bar. Currently using a cue made by a company called MCM, just a run 'o the mill 2 piece, center joined cue. i spotted Chris Small on here i believe. that was a pleasant surprise.

That's right . Really good advice from Chris , as you would expect .

Plenty of cues on here for you to wet your appetite with if you ever fancy a new one .

Is there a local league where you live ? Always good to play in , as playing other players' sharpens your game .

There's a local pub team snooker league down here, I'd need to get a little better though, as many of those guys are regularly putting away 50 or 60+ breaks. really impressive to watch. Something to aspire to eh?
