Hi All, My names Ian, just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I grew up with Snooker in the late 70's and 80's. I would watch it with my Grandma they were happy days. My parents got me a pot black Steve Davis table I was hooked I had a natural flair for the game I loved it. I was tough to play as I have a disability CP, so I could only play in short bursts but was determined to play. I remember my first Cue a Peradon Match. I visited the Preston Guild Hall regularly and saw the UK Champs and in those days the World Qualifiers I was able to meet the players. The first match I ever saw was Cliff Wilson v Ray Reardon great players and what a potter Cliff was
I haven't been able to play at all for a very long time thru my disability and 2 failed foot surgeries but I'm not giving up I want to play. I have a lovely Trevor White Cue it is a thing of beauty love it. I'm aiming to play in the disabled Snooker Championships, I have already checked this out. I aim to raise the profile of it, I do know that the Paul Hunter Foundation was involved . Well folks that's some background on me and I look forward to contributing to the forum and sharing some stories with you. Cheers Ian.
