    Hello all.

I wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.

I have had an interest in snooker for many years and I would like to start playing on a regular basis however, having recently relocated to Birmingham I do not have a large circle of friends and those who I do have have little or no interest in playing the game.

I know the very basics of the game, such as how to set up the table, hold the cue etc. but I have never made a sizeable break, above red-colour.

Just looking for some advice of how to get involved in the game.. or find a playing partner. Can you turn up to a club and start playing on your own??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can just turn up at a club and do some solo practise. Just scatter the balls around and get your cue arm going.
