Slightly belated hello/intro

I've been a lurker for several months and joined a couple of a weeks ago.

I guess my main interest is english pool. I play in a pub league in the North East, which is a pretty good standard. I also play in a singles league at the local snooker club (reasonably informal, but also a good standard). Both leagues play old EPA rules which I love. Just can't turn my hand effectively to World Rules (blackball slightly easier).

Snooker wise - I am definitely a casual player. Enjoy playing mates for fun - but can't claim to be any good. 3-5 frames in a session is normally my limit, ha

jrc - I live in Newcastle (High Heaton to be specific). Not originally a Geordie though - moved up here 11 years ago and could never leave!

Slightly belated hello/intro

There is a Pro Am at Gateshead Snooker tomorrow. Just thought you might like to know. I won't be going to this one though.

kir1 - only just seen this, unfortunately couldn't make it anyway. I don't often get down to Gateshead Snooker (the one in Low Fell I assume) ... but it's a decent club from what I remember.
