    Hello everyone
I have been playing snooker for a year and a bit since Whitley bay snooker center opened up, and it's about time I join the forum as I have started to get the snooker OCD
I have had my first cue a phoenix master 1pc maple shaft plain ebony for a year now (nicest maple cue i have seen in the flesh). And I have just purchased a 3/4 machine spliced phoenix with an amazing ash shaft.
i would love a wooldridge shark but unfortunately he has none left so if anyone knows of one for sale.

Since playing I have seen and met at Whitley Bay snooker center Dennis Taylor twice, Steve Davis twice, Shaun Murphy, Mark Williams and have gotten to know Cliff Thorburn and had a lesson with Cliff .I cant praise Paul Rinaldi enough bringing this club up here with the star tables and cues and the whole setup has been my main reason for getting into the world of snooker I have only achieved a 32 break on the stars so far but it can only get better with practice and watching others play
    Cheers for the great site

          Welcome John.

I also currently use a Phoenix cue and I swear, it is the best ash shaft I have ever seen. The quality is insanely good. I'm surprised more people don't use them.

£8 per hour but if your playing alone it's £4 an hour
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

Thanks, it seems like a good selection of people on here.
Paul has a deal on if you play for 2 hours on a Monday and Tuesday you get third hour free
I never understood the patter the commentators came out with saying these tables react differently and are fast but it's very noticeable once you have a few shots on one, I only count my high breaks playing someone on the star.

Personally I don't think they are made as good as metal cushioned Riley but I still try to only play on the stars if I can because it's rude not to. This club is the reason I have gotten right into snooker. Now I watch the matches on TV with a thought to how to play and tactics rather than just watching them pot a few balls.
