  • Hello! From sweden

Hi my name is Ronnie and I'm from Sweden, so please excuse any typos. I have most played American poll and have done so since the 80s. Obviously I tried snokker before, but never really caught on to it, until now.
It is an incredible challenge. After so many years on a pool table, it is like starting over again. And I think it's so damn funny. Those little balls refuse to go where I want them to go :-) I have so much to learn.

I just bought a Peradon Crown late the 70s cue on ebay. Know nothing about snooker cues, but I hope it works well. I paid £ 23 so it was not so expensive ------ or??

The only thing that was disappointing was the shipping. it cost £ 28 :-)

Will be interesting to follow the discussions on the forum, and I hope to get to know more of this wonderful sport.

    Regards / Ronnie

First may I say thanks for a warm welcoming. And to answer your question Asi
We have only 55 tables in Sweden, maybe a few more since this page was updated http://www.snooker.se/snookerbord.php
So I can not say that the sport is particularly big in Sweden :-)

It depends on where in Sweden you want to go, they most cities have a table, but Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö has the most. These are the three largest cities in Sweden, where Stockholm is our capital.

So hopefully so are you going to Stockholm, where they have the most tables.
The page I linked to you, it is of course in Swedish, but I'll translate a few words for you.
            ett bord= one table
            sju bord= seven table
            elva bord= eleven table
            tre bord= Three table
            två bord= two table

hope this helped you a bit on the way Asi, and then I'll greet you welcome to Sweden
            Regards / Ronnie
