Would love to add snooker to my repertoire

Hi,

My name is Michael, I'm an American billiards player. I've not played snooker, but I've studied the rules and watched a number of frames on YouTube. My favorite is Ronnie's record 147.

There are a number of snooker tables around here, but I'm still confused about a few things. I will post in the questions forum when I have the chance.

One game we do play occassionally is golf, which I think I understand was developed on snooker tables.
