Hi guys,
I'm a snooker fan that plays every now and again. I live in London and regularly wager a few quid on matches.
I'm part of the MORE SNOOKER IN LONDON lobby.
I worry that the gambling industry is shaping the game because:
1. more matches = more bets.
2. Big names in qualifying rounds = more interest in these rounds and more bets.
3. Short matches = less predictable matches.
I believe this reshaping is designed to attract sponsorship from betting firms but is ultimately bad for the game.
I believe a purpose-built cue sports arena should be built in London with acute-angle high-banked stalls so the public are on top of the action and have a great view.
looking forward to taking part in the forum.
