  • Hello, renewed interest brings me here!

Hi, I think I have just rediscovered my love for the game, I used to play a lot in my teens and early 20's - not too badly but not especially great either - regular 50's, best of 84 in practice and a best of 65 in competition.

I played a lot in the Lucania club under the multi story car park in Croydon but think that's been gone for ages now.

54 years old now and will probably struggle to string more than 4 or 5 balls together I reckon, seems I can't even get right down on the cue anymore, oh well, age gets us all in the end :biggrin-new:

Welcome two cues. I'm new here too, just joined the other day. Glad to hear of your renewed interest, you should do a few touch your toes exercises to unstiffen that back! Ha ha

Welcome to the forum. I'm 70yrs old and experienced a 're-birth' in my interest in late 2005 when I moved back to Canada from the States. I've found playing a few hours of snooker every day is all the exercise I need and it does help keep me limber and active.

Over here they're putting snooker and pool tables into all the senior citizens homes as it's a kind of relaxed way to get some exercise and socialize, so get out there and play some frames and maybe get some coaching on the basics to get you back in tune.
