I do have suit trousers but don't know if they are too formal for someone who can't play yet lol. When I looked in there most of the people wore jeans anyway so should be okay.

as a newbie to snooker clubs, one thing I would say to start your lesson on snooker / snooker club etiquette:
1. don't bounce the balls on the bed, roll them; don't drop the reds into the triangle, make a triangle with your forearms and place the triangle over themUp the TSF! :snooker:

collect the reds on the top cushion (by the black spot) in a rough triangle, I use my forearms to scoop them into a better triangle and then place the triangle over them, then slide the triangle into place so the top red is close to the pink spot, that when the pick is spotted there is a small gaps between the two balls.
some people can make the triangle of reds in situ without a triangle! I have never been able to do that; and when I see people do it, it seems to take longer than using the triangle providedUp the TSF! :snooker:
