  • World Final..... PANIC(!)

    PANIC!

I am a New Zealandeer living in Japan and we get no snooker here - at all. Nothing. Zip. My favourite player (John Higgins) is in the final and I wont be able to see a thing.

Can somebody record it to DVD and post it to me here in Japan. I do realise it's over two days and not a small ask. I will pay let's say 30 pounds
(plus disk cost and postage, of course).

It would mean the world to me if somebody can help.

Thank you all! Thank goodness for the Internet!!

    Don

Consider it done. I've just checked and it dont start till 3pm today (got used to it being on at 10 am) I'll be back with discs by then.

What about dvd compatability though. Thinking here of vhs tapes being different in uk to us and ? in japan. will you be able to view it?

I think a DVD recorder doesnt put region coding on the recordings. And even if it does it shouldnt be a problem, as the UK and Japan are both Region 2.

          Fantastic replies guys!

My DVD player here can play anything in the world. VHS is more complicated but that's a thing of the past now thank goodness.

I am over the moon Wity!

          Want anything from Japan?

And you can follow the match online either thru Stu's page if you get it working http://www.studavis.co.uk/snooker or if you don't mind German commentary on http://www.eurosport.de/snooker/mcpl...vid38180.shtml

There is one more chance... if your connection speed is good enough try this link: bbc tv coverage This link will open the Media player and the quality is very good! It worked pretty good during the last few days...

Have fun and good luck to John...

Oh my goodness, I thought something bad happened when I read the headline John gave the title away to Mark Selby or so

You're right, Louise, we should constitute a fan-club at last, Higgy's Votaries or so... (is "votary" the right phrase?)

                              I remember

first seeing Higgins about 1993 in New Zealand (limited coverage) and thinking this guy has the fluency of Hendry, the technical control / mind of Davis and seems determined to boot. Ronnie is fun but miserable and a bit of a loose cannon - excuse the punn!

Hey everyone, is there anyway Higgins can lose this? I predict a 18-10 defeat. He deserves plenty more world titles. DON'T YOU THINK!
