You can argue that some of the things I and others have said is wrong or over biased but the facts remain. JP is the premier cue maker in the world and the pro's including the greatest of all time know more than you lot. I will he sticking with my Ultimate. despite what ADR147 things he knows about cues just because he sells a few.
Opinions of folk on here; speculation.
Facts: More 147s and tons have been completed with a Parris cue than any other. The World's greatest player uses an Ultimate.
Riposte to come from the anti-Parris brigade "yeah, but I know more about cues than Ronnie"
My answer: when you have more talent in your wrong arm to wield a cue than most do with their right arm, you know about cues. Ronnie knows cues.
What are cues of the two most accurate and powerful potters of all time? Trump uses a Parris, as does Robbo.
The anti-Parris brigade will slate Parris, Stamford, Powerglide. But guess what, all the cue makers they champion haven't provided a cue to win any World Championship, i.e. ZERO!
The proof is in the pudding, and their bowl is looking mighty empty. Let them come on here and state which cue maker is better than Parris and provide the number of world championships won and 147s compiled by a player using a cue by said cue maker.
And don't bother mentioning Powerglide, none of you even like their cues or play with their cues, that is a fact. The only person who likes their cues is ME and I also like Parris as well, so my tastes lie in the cues of champions.Last edited by Master Blaster; 26 March 2015, 07:51 PM.

I myself prefer Parris cues, I had an Elite made 20 years ago and still use it today. I just loved the brazillian tulipwood in the butt and the designs looked very different to the standard cues that were around at the time.
I have just ordered the 'Ultimate' Parris cue with some exotic woods and vineers in the design.
I know some people don't like Parris cues but I can't fault them.

Maybe I will ask JP to make me a Purist from scratch and then I will have the Ultimate Purist!Last edited by Master Blaster; 26 March 2015, 07:50 PM.

you obviously know what your talking about. Nice to see someone does.I am sure if you went in to speak to him he would make whatever you wanted as his dedication to making the perfect cue for you is second to none. I saw a post earlier asking for me to put some pictures of my Ultimate up, I only ordered the cue in January so a long wait yet i'm affraid. But be sure I will be posting pictures as soon as I have it.
I will have a brand new hand made Mastercraft cue in 5 weeks that is being made to the exact same spec as my Parris that's on order. Just so im used to the dimensions so the transition isn't too great once the Parris arrive.

here's a question. Will we be having the same discussion in a few years about Mastercraft cues sometime down the line because Dave hand makes all his cues as opposed to what some say about Parris not making his any more.

As i've said on a number of occasions on here before , i have been lucky enough to have owned a few cues from top cue makers and also seen many more .
From what i've seen over the years i would class the top 3 as ........Trevor White , Robert Osborne and John Parris . I grant you there is not much in it but that is my personal opinion .
ADR said that he has never seen a bad Robin Cook cue , i played with one and didn't like it......but that doesn't mean that it was not a great cue. Again , only my personal opinion .
At the end of the day it's horses for courses and everyone is entitled to their opinion . Which is what makes this Forum a fascinating place .Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

What I will say is that a lot of folk who have slagged off JP cues on TSF have tons of Ultimate orders in to fleece the likes of you who can't wait. This means that you will have to wait longer for your cue because of their profiteering. Yes it's legal, but it is morally wrong and it completely invalidates their opinions because their word means nothing; forktongues! JOHN PARRIS: have a look at this thread.Last edited by Master Blaster; 27 March 2015, 08:44 AM.
