Believe me, I have asked around in Birmingham, but can not find any place that has a dedicated training facility for kids. Perhaps someone can tell me otherwise?

For now, I think Andrew Highfield's club is looking like a good bet...

Hi Saj, sounds like you had a great day. Andy is a top bloke and a very good coach. At Goldencue where he's based it caters for lots of kids. They even have a team of youngsters in the West Midlands league from the Paul Hunter Foundation that have done really well this last couple of years.

Yeah top day out. Got to see stephen hendry rushing to get in through the stage door at quarter to 7 as he was commentating on the ronnie match. That was funny how he was having to bat off the autograph hunters and he looked genuinely flustered.

Andy seems like a good guy and it will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

Sounds like a great day and a worthwhile visit .

Great day out if you are a snooker buff. Got to see McGill doing an interview with Hazel, Parrot and Doherty. He is more tiny even than he looks on TV.

I would thoroughly recommend as a family day out.

will do mate, hopefully the start of big things. I am envisaging the boys being the equivalent of the williams sisters in tennis, except these are boys, and this is snooker not tennis :-)

They've got a year to do it then :-) One has hit a 29, and the other a 23, and that is with no coaching at all. Hopefully they can do it.

Yesterday at the winter gardens, one of the boys hit a beautiful red into the middle from an acute angle and the crowd erupted. Best moment of the day for me, and gave me hope to dream the dream
