Snooker Club wanted in London

Hi all,

This is my first post on this website so not quite sure how it all works.

I'm interested in finding a decent snooker club in London. I tend to avoid chain snooker clubs based on the poor quality tables and emphasis on pool/darts over snooker.

I live in Wandsworth so South West London and work in Waterloo so am happy to travel a bit if need be.

I used to play down at Winchester snooker club and played regularly at Chandler's Ford and Southampton based clubs.

My highest break is 135 and I've had around 10 centuries now. So I would say I was a 'decent' club player.

I'm also interested in joining a league again.

If anyone has any recommendations please feel free to reply on here or message me directly (if that's how it works)

is Frames at Sutton any where near you?
many pros play there
several Star tables etc
league teams
regular competitions

on TSF you need over 10 posts for private messages

Thanks for the quick reply.

Sutton is about a 15 minute drive from where I live so more than happy to go there.

Do you have an address/website as snooker clubs are not often advertised very well online.

vosty - if you were at Chandlers Ford you probably know Tim Dunkley he is on TSF as snookerdad

Ha, funny you should say that.

I actually emailed Tim Dunkley and asked him if he knew of any clubs. He recommended this website actually which is why I am here.

I used to play his son Alex Dunkley regularly in competitions and leagues.

Snooker is really a small world!

Welling Snooker Club is very good if you are willing to travel that side.

Know of players there who are always looking for games.

Not a snooker club but has 3 tables and teams in Epsom and district league is Prince George's Club(use to be conservative club) in Raynes Park near train station looking for players.

Royal Surrey in Morden their tables are half decent.

Membership £15
Snooker £6 p/h evenings and weekends
£4 p/h before 4pm during week.
Private room is about £10 p/h

Found the match table in there to be a bit slow last time we played there .

Not as good as it once was when the Pro's were practising there . But more local to the Original Posters address .
