    I only know about it coz I was on the **** with mags and John Higgins after the shootout 2/3 years ago and they were slagging Smurph off about it...

    Ref missed it and Shaun piped up apparently

      Like when Trump's tip puffed up, he did the break off shot and then was allowed the 15mins(10?) to retip his cue.
      found a SnookerScene blog and they say he was docked the frame because in the tournament rules a player must be ready to play at the scheduled time...

        a tournament ruling not a WPBSA rule

          Nah... it's definitely a WPBSA rule...

          Otherwise I'd have to admit I was wrong and my previous post would serve little to no purpose.

            my thinking that it is a tournament ruling because of the "...ready to play at the scheduled time..." wording in the blog.

            just trying to find anything in the set of rules...
            other than maybe "conduct" section.

                It's not in the official rule book, but I believe is probably a World Snooker ruling relevant to all their tournaments.
