Sorry I forgot to post here first but I'm here now. I'm not really an experienced snooker player, I just play once a week with a friend for fun. I enjoy it though and want to get better. I do half consider joining my local British Legion team. I inquired a few weeks ago but they seemed a bit snobby about having an inexperienced player because they're in the Premier division.
I came here looking for cue purchasing advice to improve and maybe one day make the team

Welcome to TSF Daz......you've come to the right place .

Maybe get a few other similar standard players' to yourself and set up your own team in a lower division .

League snooker is a great way to improve your game .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Not a bad idea, thanks for the advice. Although I thought with the handicap system it wouldn't really matter.

From what I read on their website, they recently moved to a handicap system. I'll continue playing with my mate for fun at the moment. Although I'm getting a funny feeling I could easily get obsessed with it if I'm not careful

Where in Stoke do you play? I think I need to get a bit better yet before I start taking on Challengers
