    Hi Alexis! Welcome to TSF

    Short answer: Cheap? No.

Long answer aka 'Snooker tables in Oslo, the guide':

    Elmers Pub & Biljard
    (Oslobiljard1)
    Hammerfestgt. 2 (v/Carl Berner)
    3 normal snooker tables
    1 Maflin superduper do-not-touch table
Cost pr hour: 90 NOK? MissS? Under 100 anyway.

    ElbowRoom
    (Christiania Biljardklubb)
    Klingenberggata 4
    1 snooker table
Cost pr hour: 150 NOK (ha ha ha ha ha)

    Biljardhuset
    (Oslo Biljardklubb)
    Torggata 7
    2 snooker tables
Pr hour: Don't know how much it costs

I've been to Elmer's, and it was quite ok there. The rests weren't too many or well looked after, but that's the only negative thing I can remember. This is where most competitive snooker in Oslo takes place; the league matches and the Norwegian championship.

A bit offtopic is the offer from some pub/whatever in Drammen called 'Marcus' to 'get in touch if you want to play snooker for free on a Friday or Saturday'.

      Hi Alexis, welcome to TSF!
I think Maija summed it up pretty nicely, as she would probably know more about this than me.

And yes, from what I remember, Elmers costs 90-ish per hour.
BTW, a friend of mine told me that one of those clubs might be closing down or something, but I'm not sure which place it is (probably not Elmers) and it's just a rumour as far as I know.

Well, it seems to be true, seeing as Biljardhuset is selling their tables.

        Gold Crown 3: 12 000,-
        Søren Sørgaard: 9 000,-

Hm... hmhmhm! Må ha det, bare må ha det!

Most have been said so I'm just gonna add some details.

Biljardhuset is closing afaik early August. They have two riley tables with medium sized pockets and they use weird coloured balls :-) Price is aprox NOK 110-120 an hour I beleive.

Elbow room, although being one of the absolute top poolrooms in Europe only has one Snooker table. An Enbild table with huge pockets. Price is as stated about NOK 150 an hr. Not sure if they offer membership discount on the snookertable.

Elmers is pretty much the only choise for a snookerplayer in Oslo. 3+(1) tables. Three Enbild tables, two with fairly big pockets and one with I would say medium size. Theres also Kurt Maflins practice table but only a sellect few are allowed to play on that. That table is a Riley Aristocrat Tournament table with pro-templated pockets.

Prices on Elmers are aprox NOK 90 an hr, but for only NOK 200 a year you get a membership in Oslobiljard1, and the price then is about NOK 75 an hour and free play from noon to 18.00 on sundays (ofcourse, tables are almost fought over on sundays nowadays)
