What tips do i buy and use?

I'm a keen snooker player i think my cue action is good but i just dont know what hardness and make of tips to use has anybody got any advice thankyou?

There are loads of cue tips that you can try. It is all down to personal perference.

All of them are pool tips and the most common ones that people use in british game are Talisman, BD and Elkmaster.

Do unused tips have a "use by date"? Do they change their properties by sitting in a box for say 20 years?

no use by date but i think they do go off yes.
