Hi all, am new to the forum and returning to the sport after a bit of a lay off. I obviously needed a new cue so visited Stu at Green Baize last week. I just wanted to share my experience of the visit. After being greeted by Stu and having a bit of a chat about what i thought i liked (or thought i liked!), he offered advice on weight and length of cue for me. Then proceeded to pull cues from the rack, try them, then try some more, then retry them! Was in there around 3hrs and while i could see Stu was very busy with orders or what ever on the internet, he never rushed me and answered everything i threw at him. I thought a nice heavy cue was what i wanted. Around 22 oz. After i bit craic with Stu and trying various cues i realised i was wrong. I narrowed the selection down to 6. 3 one piece, 3 3/4 jointed. Maximus and GBL. I ended up with a lovely maximus ultimate, plain ebony shaft, 3/4 jointed, 18.75oz, 9.5 tip, 29.4 butt and balance point of 18.5". I was over the moon with the cue, straight to the golf club to try it and knocked in a couple of nice little breaks straight away. I would just like to thank Stu and say to anyone thinking of going there to stop thinking and just do it. The maximus and GBL cues are all great. Finished lovely and quality items. Stu is a top bloke and i ended up getting a leather case and extension, tips and chalk. Most of which he threw in for free and also did a great price on the cue and case too. Thanks again Stu.

I concur, Stu is a top bloke and always available to help. I bought him two cues recently and each time he made his maximum to give as much information as possible. And his conlusions regarding the cues were spot on, very honest in the process.
Furthermore, you get great cues for very affordable prices! Not the silly fortunes spent on JPU or whatever...Ton Praram III Series 1 | 58" 18.4oz 9.4mm | ash shaft + 4 splices of Brazilian Rosewood | Grand Cue medium tips
