  • Hello.

Hi, just joined the forum and enjoying looking around.

Just thought I would say hello.

I have recently started back at snooker although I'm not very good, break of 20 ish.

I am right handed but left eye dominant as I have just found out! Might be my issue.

I do only play 3 hours a week as time is short with the shifts I do.

I'm based in Oldbury, West Midlands.

    Welcome to TSF rdp

right-handed/left-eyed - is not an issue IF IT WORKS FOR you
many pros are contra-sided (Neil Robertson LH-RE for example - and has not hurt his career )
just remember to always be comfortable at the table and on the shot

yep, time to play is often an issue, work/family, earning a crust get in the way
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

Up until today I didn't realise I was LE dominant so I haven't really had a chance to try out using my LE to aim.

Might have to get an eye patcher my right ha ha ha

or, as well, patch the Left eye so see how you do

but there have been a few threads in the past about eye-dominance - and after all the confusion of eye-power and not "dominance"; and all the "I do this, I do that"; it generally comes down to it does not matter; if you are comfortable, and you can pot balls and you have fun; forget about your eye-preference. It will only stay in your mind when you are at the shot, when you should be concentrating on the shot!

just do what comes naturally and improve on that, practise, practise and more practise
        Up the TSF! :snooker:

Thanks Saint Michael I'll wait until they come along! Ha ha

I have read a few of the threads and I do think it is just do whats comfortable.

But, I do need to get on the table and have a go. I seem to pot medium to long shots quite well even at quite difficult angles and miss the easy straight shots.

I did buy a new cheap cue as I have been using my uncles spare and thought I'll get one of my own.

After researching it may not have been a great idea a dark horse myx but it wasn't expensive so worth a punt I hope!
