honestly, is the best way to buy a cue. especially for someone who does'nt get the chance to try the cue.
+ prices are very reasonable too.

Parris starts at £300+ which can be doubled if you want a made to measure variation i.e. special cue upwards.

Robert Osbourne red plates are £300 for a plain ebony and the green plates are £500 if you can get down to the workshop and he happens to have any.

Exquisite Cues green plates are between 500-600 from what I have seen for plain butted cues.

These are the cues I can speak for in terms of current prices and UK made cues. Of course there are others as you can see from other replies.

Your comparing a part time cue maker who's cues you've never seen to a Bentley like I said get your head out his arse. I have looked through his thread and his cues do look ok but 90% seem to be rescue cues and he resplices them I have never seen one in the flesh hence why I asked have you your the knob who took it what everway you did and started spouting crap. Take you time and come back with some clever witty comment pal.

how muck would it cost just for the ebony to make 1 cue, if you wanted the best all black with no inclusions or colour changes. I would guess to say 126 us dollars. am I close
I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:

I second that. A few mates here have his cues too. I am also waiting for mine to arrive.
J6uk is a great guy to deal with and he is very prompt in his replies, gives good advice and ensures you are making a cue that you are comfortable with in feel and specs. Another plus point is he updates you very regularly what stage is he at with your cue, if it's churning out well and any nitty gritty he encounters. If the cue doesn't come out well to the specs, he will redo it with another block of wood which happened to me and is commendable. He is also a very good snooker player so he definitely knows what he is making and what you are talking too....Haha.
My respect to him and his work is very reasonably priced. He shows some photos at stages and also videotapes the finished cue and shows how it plays. This is something that I haven't seen any other cuemakers doing.

I am with you Ramon. There are a few mates here who have his cues. He does good work as shown in my above comments. Also one of those who really makes a cue from a block of wood all by himself. That's another plus point.
And please folks, let's just discuss and make worthy contributions instead of harsh words.
You are getting good there Ramon. Cool head nowadays. Thumbs up and my admiration for that. Keep up the good attitude and good contributions. Cheers

Yeah, Decent guy to deal with. not to mention a decent player as well.
I wanted to buy one of his cues for my cousin last year ( it was supposed to be a surprise ).
I sent him a mail and got all the info i needed.
Unfortunately, I was too late. He had already bought a Britannia cue.
His videos are a bonus to players. (to me anyway)
You can listen to the sound of the shaft everytime he strikes the ball and view the cue much better . Which is very important imo.

                              thanks for replay mate ,
have a good day. ( just finished with work so, bed time for me )

Go on his YouTube channel Ste, if you are interested,he has loads of videos of him making cues, trying cues etc etc, probably the best channel for seeing a cue getting made, this one is him prepping a shaft. I have had loads of cues and still have them, but I play with the one he made, I know that only means that one cue suits me but that's all I can go by.
