While we have to accept moving with the times, sad that some traditions get lost along the way.

Completely agree regarding the football tops thing.

Baseball caps should be banned too (actually, all silly hats), and generally anything that's been purchased from the retailer 'Sports Direct'.

I'm not of fan of novelty snooker apparel either - "C'mon Jimmy" emblazoned across ones top for example...

...Crikey, we don't want our sport turning into a Darts like circus!
      Highest break - 145
      Playing cue - an old antique Burroughs & Watts 'London Soho Square' 1 piece maple - 58" / 16.5oz / with a 10mm tip

      "Fantabulous!"...

Yes, lets make sure less people come to watch the snooker. Keep up the good work lads!

I had to check the dates on this thread, thought it was an old one from the 1930s.

Well, if people can't afford a smart outfit they probably can't afford snooker tickets anyway!

Nothing wrong with old school values. At least we had greater integrity.

So what are you trying to say exactly? That older people have more integrity than younger people?

I was unaware that drinking & smoking had stopped, & pardon me but I fail to see the relevance anyway

Not at all, just an observation of changing values in society.
Personally I believe that society as a whole, is descending into anarchy

Maybe, but I don't think jeans and T-shirts are the cause.

No not the cause, just a symptom
