Hi everybody i joined the forum a couple of weeks back and didn't get round to introducing myself.
I'm Alan from Shropshire, I played league snooker for 2 years in 2001/02 but only played pool since then.
I've been off work a month after being diagnosed with testicular cancer and spent a lot of time watching snooker on tv whilst recovering which has given me the bug to play again.
I'm very average standard with highest breaks being in the 30s but looking to improve.
The forum is an excellent source of tips and info.

any particular reason for such a short cue?

Thank you. I used a short cue for pool and just got used to the length. I've used maple cues as i found Ash pulls my stubble.

I use 55inch and maple! For the exact same reason that ash pulls the beard
