Making my indroductory post. I played snooker for the very first time last night, i have never played any sort of snooker/pool before. I lived on a remote island for most of my life, and have just left for university.

However, i think i have some natural talent. I managed to pot 4 balls in a row last night, and am looking to take up the sport properly. Thats why i have logged on here, to try and get some advice, learn the rules etc.

my advice - wait before buying a cue - find out if you are going to be playing a lot and if you are going to stick at it. also it would be better to buy a very good cue later than a cheap rubbish one now!
