Not scratched as photo is really close on camera..*
Eventually will have better quality photos.
The state of some of these ferrules before I start the tipping are dreadful.
Glue on there.*
Hard scratches.
Gone black dirty.
Ferrules loose coming off.
One guy I did his tip.
A callout charge.
He wanted tip done.
Got to his house and he presented me a 2 piece
Cue which he sand papered down.
The ferrule was off.
The 2 piece brass joint dirty.
Cue was really like 2 drum sticks.
Anyway I told guy I.ll charge £30
As a good will gesture to fix cue there and then.
Took me 1 hour.
Glued ferrule on.
Waited 15 min to dry.
Put on Elkmaster tip.
10 min to dry.
Cut and shaped tip.
Clean brass joints and ferrule emmery paper.
Fine paper on cue.
Rub light cue oil on cue and on the brass inner joints.*
Cleaned off.
Cue was ready 1 hour.
Guy was really happy.
Tbh, the whole story sounds made up. I ran the photos of his handywork he put in his advert through photo analyser. 1 was David Grace's tip taken from a freezeframe of a TV match in 2017. He took these images down and put 2 more up. Scanned these as well, both were nicked from the Snooker Crazy website. These were taken down and replaced with pictures of two cues which had had their ferrules butchered. I'm guessing these are more likely his own photos, but who knows, I didn't scan them in time before he took them down.
I figured he was a scammer or an idiot from the off, and he hasn't done much to convince otherwise.
I can fit ferrules and tips too. I do it purely as a hobby. A guy once gave me £20 to fit both (his suggestion of price). He's over the moon with the results. I don't have the correct tools though. So I'm not in it for financial gain. In fact this is the first time I've publicly announced it. It's not that difficult a job imo.
Cheap and Cheerful! 😄

P.S. I know they're not, because both photos are stolen from the Snooker Crazy website.
Well that's nice to know!
I probably wouldn't have big issue with someone asking if they could use photo's off my website as I like to see the game grow which is why I wite many articles to generate interest.
Just taking them is another matter as they are copyrighted!
