Alex Higgins is snooker's all-time greatest genius, IMO, we would have no modern game without him. It's just a pity that the television cameras missed the majority of his prime in the 70s.
Of today's generation, there's a glut of talent: Stephen Maguire, Neil Robertson, Selby, Ding Junhui, with the 'old guard'- Higgins, Hendry, O'Sullivan, Williams, Stevens, Doherty and Ebdon- still warding the young scamps off, just.
