Hi, this looks a nice busy forum.

I'm just getting worked up for Saturday. I plan to see almost every ball potted thanks to the live interactive coverage.

Loved snooker since I got a table for Christmas as a kid.

I remember staying up late to watch the Alex Higgins v Jimmy White semifinal and also the 1985 final of course.

Anyway, hope this forum will add to my enjoyment of this years tournament.
I'm hoping for a Selby win.

Ok quick quiz, how many facially haired players can you think of apart from Willie Thorne. Dont think there's that many.

John Virgo and the Canadian pair of Cliff Thorburn and Bill Werbeniuk. I think Terry Griffiths has a phase where he had a moustache as well.

I'm sure there's more, but there's not many in the present day. Mark Williams does have a tendency to turn up with more than just designer stubble.

I backed Selby too. I got 9/1 just after he won the Welsh Open.

I'll be in clover if he wins. Hopefully the sheriff can help by beating Maguire in the first round although its a big ask.
