Hello from High Wycombe !!

Hi,

just a quick hello from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, UK.

My name is Klaus, been living in the UK for nealy 30 years (originally from Germany). Been an avid watcher of snooker on TV. I try to watch whenever snooker is on TV.

Have played only a handful of times but I'd like to actually get proficient in snooker so I am hoping to check out the two venues in HW I know about. If anyone has recommendations for this area or for Uxbridge where I work please let me know.

I coach occassionally at the Uxbridge Snooker Club, which is at the top of the high street. I'm not familiar with any other places although I know that there are a few snooker leagues in these parts including the Thames Valley Snooker League and the Harrow and District Snooker League.

Snooker Leisure is a great club. Its on Desborough Avenue near the bus station and its run by former pro Dylan Leary. Great bunch of people in there.

Hi Klaus,

I'm from High Wycombe too, I play at the Liberal Club in town (members only) but can recommend Snooker Leisure on Desborough Road if you're interested in playing a bit more. They have round robin competitions on Saturday nights, and every couple of weeks there is a Sunday handicap tournament catering for players of all abilities.

Just ask for Dylan when you go in there and he'll tell you a bit more.

There's also a round robin open to all every other Sunday night at the Liberal Club.

I also play in the Thames Valley Snooker League for the Liberal, but Snooker Leisure has around five teams in the league who are always looking for new players. Summer League starts in a few weeks so try and get in there before it's too late!

What level of standard do you coach up to? Do you also play Im looking for a good practice partner. Im from High Wycombe and also a member at Uxbridge Snooker Club.
