breakfast with ronnie

In may this year went to Sheffield & watched all 17 days of World Snooker. Apart from seeing some magnificent snooker the highlight for me was having breakfast with Ronnie and his entourage. Apart from admiring his snooker skills he came across as a really friendly person who didn't seem to be "up himself" with his own self importance (maybe because I was from Australia & he was interested in what i had to say) . Apart from being a surreal experience i remember a particular part of the conversation where he mentioned he wasn't happy with his long game & his game in general. So here i go & mentioned that he was winning on his B game & when his A game comes in no-one would get near him. Later i when i reflected i thought .." did i (a mug) just give the greatest player this game has seen advice". I felt like a real git. Anyhow I was on a high for the rest of the day after that.:snooker:

The day before he made his 147 against Mark Williams & he still wasn't happy with his game. Shows what a perfectionist he is & when you talk with these sort of people they are in a completely different "mind set" than the average punter.
