  • Hello from Germany!

    Hello!
Here in Germany snooker gets more and more popular.
And we habe some very fine snooker clubs, e.g. a club with very fiine tables in Willich-Anrath (not far from Duesseldorf).
I play snooker for just one year and I'm very happy that there's so much information in this forum.
Thanks to all who are posting and keeping this forum vivid.
    Kind regards
    Amy

Hello and welcome to the forum!

It is nice to know that snooker in Germany is getting more and more popular. This is probably due to the EuroSport channel.

      Thanks for joining!

Hello and thanks a lot for the quick replies!
Indeed, it has a lot to do with eurosport. Many people watch it and maybe have a try themselves. But there are also classes for snooker starters, like "snooker holidays" a two day crash course. In England - that's how it seems for us - everyone stand at the table at very early age. Here a lot of late starters (including me - with 35 it's quite late...) try hard to improve. But more and more young people start and that's great!
How much tables do you have in regular snooker centres in the U.K.? And how often do people play and train in England?
A nice sunday afternoon - best regards!

Hi, A regular snooker club in the U.K would have around about 15 tables maybe. Around that sort of amount.

              Hi amymi,

Good to hear Snooker is becoming more and more popular in Germany. My local Snooker club has 23 tables which is more than most clubs
